The primary goal of our emergency fund is to help owners in a financial bind preventing their pet from receiving medical care. Our fund is not to be used for routine care such as vaccines, grooming, nail trims, or wellness visits. The purpose of this fund is to assist pet owners who are needing funds for life saving procedures and immediate urgent care for their pets. We ask anyone needing assistance to apply below. Applications will be reviewed before a decision is made.
**Priority is based on the pet's need, availability of funds, and by the approval of our board members**
Heartworm disease is becoming more prevalent and often a factor in euthanizing shelter dogs. We would like to sponsor heartworm treatment for shelter dogs when possible. This will allow for that the dog to be more appealing for rescues to pull or for the dog to find his/her forever family.
Every now and then, we see families who have to say goodbye to their beloved pets. Costs can be an issue. As funds allow us, we would like to help with end of life care and cremation at a veterinary clinic or with a home provider of their choice as long as funds are available and cost is within reasonable means.
Please read all the instructions before applying.
Every day Paws in Need is contacted to help pets in need of veterinary care. Keeping pets healthy and in their loving homes keeps them from entering shelters, or owners from having to humanely euthanize due to costs of vet care. Your support means everything to them and to us. Thank you for your support.
